What about the notes?

Our first picture together and hmmm… she was not looking at me

I guess that I should start by telling the story behind the notes. My wife and I are separated with the ocean…. a big one. She lives on one side and I am stuck on the other. For the past year, she has been writing love notes for me at least once a week. I received them this year (2019) as a gift. So that how the idea of this blog came to be. Every week I will pick one and write about the thought and the feelings I get when I first read the note. In between, we will write about our experiences. The good news… The immigration office is officially reviewing our case. Hope that we will be reunited soon

I want to hold your hand

This is the first pick I got. It is very interesting that this was my first pick because it is in a such contrast with the believes and wants of modern time. It is not surprising when you see antiaging commercial online or on TV. We want to stay young. Yet here is my wife, telling me about being old. It humbly reminded me that I grow up in a culture where getting old was actually an honor. It stems from the fact that most people don’t live that long. However, in the west with all the advance in health and well being science, we are living longer. Maybe that why being old is rather something that is expected but we don’t want it now. To me, I think that this is probably one of the best thing your spouse can tell you. It means that you have been together that long. First note from my Wi-Fi
